Welded Stool
I created this stool as a part of my Materials, Methods, and Structures class as one of my sprints in learning how to design, construct, and organize rapidly and efficiently. The stool started as a 10 foot piece of metal that was later cut into six 1-foot pieces and two 2-feet pieces. Using the stick-welding procedure, these pieces of metal were organized and welded to each other to create a strong, supportive base with a height of 2 feet. I then cut out a 1 foot square that would go on top of the square weld.
The process
Welded 4 pieces together for the top surface
I then welded one leg on in a corner to start the base.
Two pegs added at the bottom to create sturdy base.
Final product!
